Mr Vishal Bhardwaj, what have we done to you ? Why are you hell-bent on killing us slowly and softly ? If you dont believe us, check out the new song promo of Ishqiya….dil toh bachcha hai ji and the strategically placed “fatak” by Vidya Balan….thoda kaccha hai ji! Words by Gulzar and music by Vishal Bhardwaj. Can someone please tell us when the music is going to be out!

Ishqiya is directed by Abhishek Chaubey, produced by Vishal Bhardwaj and stars Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya Balan and Arshad Warsi.

UPDATE – And like us, those of you who are still drooling over it, there is more. Here is the making of the song…

    hoooooot!!!

  2. Stone says:

    Dil khush ho gaya……in Hrithik’s language..Mind blowing 🙂

Gulzar should not write for any one else other than Vishal Bharadwaj…..
Yesterday I was listening to songs of Veer, that’s a classic example of bad compositions (of Sajjid-Wajjid) killing good lyrics!

  3. Pavan says:

January 1 is the release date

  4. RamanaK says:

Super news that its coming out on 1st. I’ve decided to stop watching ANY more Ishqiya videos till the release of the music! Saw the making of Dil toh bachcha and just can’t get over it!

  5. Pavan says:

    Stone,

Veer certainly is better than what was expected and does feature a couple of good numbers.. Surili ankhiyon waale is definitely a beautiful number! simple yet superb imagery by our wordsmith..

“hoth me chhup ke dekh rahe the
    chaand ke peechhe peechhe the

    saara jahaan dekha
    dekha na aankhon me
    palakon ke neeche neeche the”

    worth a listen in loop…

  6. Aniket says:

What is the name of the song which is there in the theatrical trailer of Ishqiya??

  7. Stone says:

@Pavan — no doubt about the poetry…but I’ve problem with Sajid-Wajid’s compositions..even ‘Sureeli ankhiyon walee…..’ sounds like a mishmash of ‘Aaj din chaddiya…’ of LAK and ‘O re piya…’ of Aaja Nachle.
