The film has been on our radar since its early buzz at Film Bazaar in Goa. And if our sources are to be believed, we are going to hear a lot about this film in the coming days. Keep watching this space.

As Yashraj Film revealed their slate for 2014, they have also given out the official synopsis of Titli –

In the badlands of Delhi’s dystopic underbelly, Titli, the youngest member of a violent car-jacking brotherhood plots a desperate bid to escape the ‘family’ business.
His struggle to do so is countered at each stage by his indignant brothers, who finally try marrying him off to ‘settle’ him.

Titli, finds an unlikely ally in his new wife, caught though she is in her own web of warped reality and dysfunctional dreams. They form a strange, beneficial partnership, only to confront their inability to escape the bindings of their family roots.  But is escape, the same as freedom?

Starring Ranveer Shorey, Amit Sial and introducing Shashank Arora
Directed by Kanu Behl and Produced by Dibakar Banerjee

– Earlier Varun Grover wrote about Titli in this post.

Or for that matter any bollywood film? Spoofing is a serious art and a good one needs much more than the combined acting talent of Uday Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. That’s a big problem with bolllywood – they don’t know how to take a joke. As me and many of my friends have faced similar situation many times in the past because of our tweets or blog posts, it’s hardly surprising anymore. Here’s the latest story. This one is about YRF and Dhoom3.

Here’s the kickass video by AIB guys which completely pwns YRF.

The theatrical trailer of Habib Faisal’s new film Ishaqzaade is out. It stars debutant Arjun Kapoor (Boney and Mona Kapoor’s son) and Parineeti Chopra. The credits include Hemant Chaturvedi (DoP), Amit Trivedi (Music), Kausar Munir (lyrics) and Aarti Bajaj (editor).

Aha, who would have thought that one day even Yashraj Films would step into such dusty terrain. And not chiffon-ed too like they did with Bunty Aur Babli. That’s a refreshing change. Plus the distinct sights and sounds of the land. The guy looks confident and the girl scored big in a small role in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. Now bring it on!

There’s no official synopsis yet but here’s what the official release says…

Rising from the ashes of hooliganism and small town clan wars, comes the love story of a passion ignited by hatred.

Of two people. Born to hate. Destined to love.

One kingdom. One throne. Two wild animals… unpredictable Parma… ferocious Zoya. A battle… deafened by sounds of hate, revenge, bullets and deceit.

A story… about two fiery bloods played by Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, and their fight for power and supremacy.

A story about love brewing in a small town burning with hatred.

A story called ISHAQZAADE.

Director Maneesh Sharma’s Band Bajaa Baaraat was a surpsrise hit last year. And now, he is back with the same team with a new film titled Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. It stars Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Dipannita Sharma, Aditi Sharma and Parineeti Chopra. Screenplay is by Devika Bhagat and dialogues are by Habib Faisal.

The film is releasing on 9th December and strangely YRF is releasing it’s theatrical trailer just a month before the release. These days most producers release the trailer of their films at least 2 months before the release date and then slowly built up the buzz with songs and videos . Though the makers of LVRB released two music videos before the trailer but the response has been lukewarm so far. Click on the play button to check out this trailer.

Two new trailers are out. Luv Ka The End – the first film of YRF’s new banner Y Films. It starrs Shraddha Kapoor and has been directed by Bumpy ( Remember Roadies?). Will put a separate post with more details about Y Films.

And here is the theatrical trailer of Dum Maaro Dum. Directed by Rohan Sippy, it stars Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Rana Daggubati and  Prateik. It’s written by Shridhar Raghavan, shot by Amit Roy and has Pritam’s Music. And click here to read its official synopsis.

Once it was only about Shah Rukh Khan films. Then they had films with Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham. And even Shahid Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh got into the so called YRF camp soon. The brand wasn’t about A-list anymore. And now, after ages, they are launching a new actor in their new film Band Baaja Baaraat. Naam hai Ranveer Singh. The film is directed by debutant Maneesh Sharma and it co-stars Anushka Sharma. And its all about some more weddings! Spare us.

Here is the official synopsis of the film…

Shruti (Anushka Sharma) is a 20-something no-nonsense girl from a middle class Delhi household. Focused and determined with preplanned ambitions, her goals in life are well laid out by the time she reaches her final year of college.

Bittoo (Ranveer Singh), on the other hand, has no real aim in life. As a final year college student of Delhi University, he whiles away his life having fun with his buddies, barely scraping through his exams.

A chance and inopportune meeting (or as you would call it, fate) brings the two of them together on a tumultuous journey where they become partners in their very own, “Wedding planning ka bijness”. The rules however, are clear: “Jisse vyapaar karo, usse kabhi na pyaar karo” (Don’t mix business with pleasure).

Together, their friendship and business, enters the ups and downs of the lavish Delhi weddings. And while trying to find themselves, Shruti and Bittoo discover each other and realize that in the course of their journey, unke khud ke rules ki bajegi band!

And here is the trailer…

The theatrical trailer of Pradeep Sarkar’s new film Lafangey Parindey is out. It stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone. Produced by Aditya Chopra (Yashraj Films), its written by Gopi Puthran, has music by R Anandh (the limca jingle is also by him) and lyrics by Swanand Kirkire.

He was born to fight…she was born to fly….where are we heading, Dada ? They will fly & fight together!  Deepika delivering tapori dialogues sounds incredibly funny! A Bambaiyya blind babe ??!! And somehow, it doesn’t feel, look or sound like a Pradeep Sarkar film. May be he is trying to do something new. Anyway, Check it out.

Con job again ? Bunty-Babli Redux plus two sidekicks! Thats what it looks like. Yashraj Films new film Badmaash Company. Written & directed by Parmeet Sethi and stars Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Meiyang Chang and Vir Das. Anybody interested ?

This is the first look of Badmaash Company.  Its produced by Yashraj Films, written and directed by Parmeet Sethi.  The film stars Shahid Kapoor and  Anushka Sharma. The other actors on the poster are Meiyang Chang and Vir Das.

According to official release, Badmaas Company is an extraordinary story set in the 90’s in middle class Mumbai of four young friends who get together to start a company. Yashraj Films is finally making its foray on the small screen. And they are going on air with not one or two but five shows. Four fiction and one reality show. Mahi Way, Rishta.com, Seven, Powder and Lift Kara De.

The four shows covers different genraes and the reality show is the hunt for the biggest fans of the bollywood stars. Shows starts from January 1st, 2010 on Sony TV. And if its Yashraj, do expect some starry dose on these shows too. If we are not wrong, in one of the promos we just spotted their in-house actor turned director Jugal Hansraj. Check it out!
