Govind Nihalani and animation film? Why not? And so there’s a film called Kamlu. We had read about it but had no clue that it’s already complete. It’s about a baby camel called Kamlu who wants to fly. The first theatrical trailer is out.

This looks like any other desi animation film – as good or bad. Will our animation films ever look like theirs? And at a time when we are used to Pixar, is there a space for anything substandard? I doubt. What do you think?

    Its not that bad…
Animation, as expected, needed a bit more polish…
At least they tried something new.. & I thought Nihalani has retired 😀

  2. 1. Our animation quality in 2012 is the same as ‘Gaayab Aaya’ had in 1990.

    2. Why would you make a film for Indian kids in English? (And American English?? ‘Gotta’?)

    3. Kamlu with a flying camel reminds me of Chamku which had Bobby Deol and a camel who wanted to fly the fuck out of screen.

    4. Nihalani saab making this is as sad a news as David Dhawan remaking ‘Chashme-baddoor’.

Oh shit… first time I watched it muted at office…
now I realize that the dialogues are in English…
It will connect to no one like his previous genre experimentation Deham…
