Steven Spielberg is currently in India. All thanks to Anil Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment. All the prominent filmmakers of the industry were invited to attend the session.

Rediff’s Raja Sen has written a column on “How Steven Spielberg brought Bollywood closer”. Click here to read it.

So, what’s next? Reliance will release Commando. Himmatwala is our next big release. David Dhawan has remade Chashme Baddoor. And Bollywood will keep chasing 100 crore films. Aha, beauty.

Was the question answer session with the audience not recorded? It would be great to see the video if that as well 🙂

  2. That’s a hell lot of difference , how a Hollywood reporter reports it and how a Bollywood one does… It would never change …. “me, mera, mujhko ye pasand aaya tha shot, mere saath aur bhi the, so many famous I was rubbing shoulders with”… Kya kehna chahte ho bhai… Just read how Hollywood one reported…

Haha the ‘Big B’ was called an intellectual. lol wut?

  4. An Jo says:

BIG B was NEVER called an intellectual. He was selected for the occasion considering only the ‘iconicity’ factor of this visit..To deduce that he was selected for this interview based on intellectual quotient is dishonest evaluation and to further berate him on intellectual stuff is inappropriate..

He has always shown a very poor script sense throughout his career. If it were not for his inherently outstanding talent, he would have been a goner a long time ago.

It is definitely true that this was more of a ‘rigmarole’ stuff and stilted discussion by Big B. He could have done more, much more based on the spontaneity he displays in other interactive sessions..Even the dress he wore looked like he was dead tired and was just doing this as some formal agreement..
