After co-producing Manoj Night Shyamalan’s dud The Happening, UTV is venturing into Hollywood with its first independent production  ExTerminators.

Veteran cinematograher John Inwood of the popular US TV show “Scrubs” turns director with this one and it stars Heather Graham, Jennifer Coolidge, Matthew Settle, Joey Lauren Adams and Amber Heard.

ExterminatorsExTerminators is a dark comedy and revolves around Alex (Graham), a lonely accountant whose one act of rage results in her being sentenced to court ordered therapy. There she meets Stella (Coolidge), the owner of a small extermination business who uses her car as a weapon, and Nikkie (Heard), a dental technician with the face of an angel and the mind of a sociopath. Together these women will form their own “silent revolution” wrecking havoc on the abusive men in their lives.

And to know more about the film, you can read Ramu’s thoughts here. And to sum it up, here is Ramu with his wicked sense of humour…

I believe that Rakta Charitra is going to be the most defining film of my career not because of how well I will make it but sheerly because of the material I have at my hand. To put it simply I don’t have to work hard to make it well but I have to work hard to spoil it.

We hope and pray that Ramu doesnt work hard anymore!

feroze-khan

He was the original dude of bollywood, the desi cowboy. Always high on style quotient and surrounded by damsels. Even at 70, he was still the same. Unlike others, he never try to hide anything that he loved.

News just trickled in : Feroze Khan is dead. He passed away at his Bangalore farmhouse on sunday late night. He was 70 years old and was battling cancer for more than a year.

Just a few days back(friday, i guess), he was discharged from Mumbai’s Leelavati Hospital. He wanted to visit his Bangalore farmhouse, was missing his pets, specially the horses. May be, he knew it all. The end was just too close.

Qurbani, Jaanbaz, Dayavan and Dharmatma were some of his big hits. The actor-director-producer was last seen in 2007’s blockbuster Welcome.
