It seems to me to be the house style of the contemporary action flick, all broken-up sequences and overlit shots and ear-bleeding soundtracks glaring and shrieking into our eyes and ears. Abstraction? Confusion is more like it, a way of overcompensating for a lack of confidence at where to point the lens, and how to move the actors. I’d be more persuaded if it was a unique talent, something that people attempted to but couldn’t quite imitate, maybe have one or two film maudits that didn’t quite click with audiences. There’s a case to be made for someone pushing things too far.
Thanks Judex. We will try to do better next time.
Thanks to moifightclub for posting.
Remarkable video. Taking simplicity to a transient state and capturing a still beauty in both Sound and Video. The song in my opinion is a motivational one. As a 24 year old medical student in Ireland and an admirer of Cinema and Music (from Worldwide), I see myself listening to this track in times of struggles, and hence before the biggest exams I’m to face in my life. Inspiring someone and motivating them to continue without giving up is not an easy task. This track along with its video achieves that motivating strength.
Thank you Indian Ocean. Thank you. Thank you @CilemaSnob.
My request to Judex: Do not speak harsh words of criticism until you can achieve something that surpasses that which you bash and criticise.
Not siding with judex but does that mean not to criticise a film untill u make one? Ridiculous arguement, sorry.
Superb one….Thanks 🙂 🙂
@ Pringle: When you display any art form, it holds a place for criticism. There are figments which I do like, but most necessarily the other side, I CHOSE. You are entitled to opine but to counter-point me, please come up with a cinematic argument. Just don’t be an escape artist.
Thank you. If the interconnection permits, do see it in hd. HD Link–> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ia6bTmTUgDs&hd=1

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. A simple story told so nicely and how brilliantly it works with the song. One of the best songs I have heard. As Pringle says, a song a like to go back to whenever motivation is needed.
