Sujoy Ghosh has officially released the first look of Aladin (Amitabh Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh) on his blog. But looks like these are stills fom the promotional music video of the film. Sometime back, Amitabh Bachchan released few pics of the same film on his blog. Bachchan looks sexy in this get-up but it looks like a bad hair day too.  Hav a look and let us know what you guys think.

Finally! After criticising every celeb blogger for doing the job what journalists should be doing, Shah Rukh Khan has finally joined the club. As the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, who have been facing criticism from all quarters, Shah  Rukh Khan has finally decided to make his views public. His blog can be found at www.kkr.in. The first two posts read more like motivational speeches and less of blog! Looks like he is still playing the role of Kabir Khan from Chak De India!

Well we can understand why.  Firstly, the bad performance of the team and add to that, the mayhem created by  fakeiplyplayer who is leaking out every possible detail about the team. Khansaab must be going insane. Too much to handle!

Glamsham.com has released the plot details of Suparn Verma’s new film Acid Factory. Initial reports suggests that like all Sanjay Gupta films, this one too promises all style and no substance. And like in the past, Guptaji has got a new bakra. Mumbai Mantra ( Mahindra’s film divison) has acquired the film and will be releasing it soon. 

The film stars Fardeen Khan,  Aftab Shivdasani, Danny Denzongpa, Manoj Bajpai, Dino Morea, Irfan Khan and Dia Mirza. 

Here is the story…

What if a killer would wake up one day with his memory erased? Would his crimes cease to exist?

What if an innocent wakes up one day with his memory erased and perceives himself to be a criminal?

Would that change his perception of reality? 

ACID FACTORY is about a group of characters whose sense of past has vanished in a haze of coma like sleep they have woken up from only to discover that reality could be a figment of their imagination. Their sense of right or wrong is heightened by this state of complete distrust and self righteousness. Five men wake up inside the confines of a factory to find themselves locked in this claustrophobic nowhere land.

As the plot unfolds we gradually learn that two of the people who are trapped have been kidnapped and held hostage by the rest of the three for a heist. But the irony is they themselves do not know who the hostages are and who the kidnappers are.

Their fears are heightened by a phone call from the leader of the gang of goons who informs them that he is on his way with the heist and plans to knock off the two hostages as soon as he arrives. Every one fears for their lives as they are unaware about the fact which tow of them are the hostages. They plan escape, fail and end lunging at each other in despair as the clock ticks away. Individual foibles and shortcomings surface in this final hour of despair. The Big Boss eventually arrives and what follows is a riveting climax leading to an action packed finale. 

The description sounds great on paper and the way its written, makes it look more interesting. But only if the film can achieve half of whats written here! Or may be it will turn out to be one more wannabe cool film. We will be happy to be proved wrong.  Here is the link to the Glamsham feature.

And in case you are wondering whats bound script got to do with Aladin, well, its the name of Ghosh’s production house.

Yes, believe it or not! Abbas Tyrewala has just finished the 20th ( yeh yeh 20th) draft of his next script 1-800-Love.  After the super duper success of his debut film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, he knows that there is huge expectation from his next film. And so, he doesnt want to take any chance.

The script is written by his wife Pakhi, who also stars in the film opposite John Abraham.

Dibakar Banerjee is going big after Khosla Ka Ghosla and Oye Lucky Lucky Oye.  Two films which we absolutely love. Well, the buzz is that Dibakar got great casting this time. Abhay Deol and Imran Khan. Yes, the new age heroes prefer those directors who have a new story to say and not the Kunal Kohlis of the world. ( Btw, Kunal Kohli has been rejected by every possible actor, whoever he approached for his new film) Talks are on with Katrina Kaif for the female lead.

Dibakar was earlier planning a film based in pre-independence Bengal. Looks like thats not happening soon.

Update on Gadhvi’s next –  Doom director Sanjay Gadhvi has finally managed to convince Imran Khan for his next film.  Here is the real dope – Post Kidnap, Imran wasnt interested in working with Gadhvi anymore. But this doom Gadhvi knows where to pull the strings.  He is quite close to Studio 18 boss Vandana Malik, whose daughter Avantika Malik is Imran’s girlfreind. Now thats not difficult puzzle to solve.  Saansu-Ma ho to aisi ho!

Here is the dope on Balki’s new film Paa. In the film, Amitabh Bachchan suffers from a disease called Progeria, a rare genetic disorder in which a person ages three times faster than a normal person. So, Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan will play parents to Amitabh Bachchan, their 13 year old son who looks 39. Woohoo….we are waiting!
 

Amitabh Bachchan has put out the first pictures of him and Ben Kingsley on his blog, direct from the sets of Leena Yadav’s Teen Patti. The film is currently on floor in London. The rumour is that its based on the Kevin Sapcey starrer 21. Hav a look.

Noted bengali writer and social activist Mahasweta Devi was at Prithvi Theatre on Monday evening. A documentray film on her was screened ( very boringly done. but her quotes were priceless) followed by Q&A with the author.  Unlike many she was completely candid, spoke about her writing, her two marriages, kids and even her two suicide attempts.

And with a razor-sharp tongue, she dismissed everyone who tried to be cool or intelluctual. A guy framed a long question mixing religion, politics, beliefs, ideology and eveything possible. She looked at him and asked “But, whats the question? ” Nobody could control their laughter.

And those of you who missed it, here is the tip of the day, the quote which wrapped up her thoughts…. 

Right to dream should be the first fundamental right of every human being in any country.

Ben in Bollywood

Amitabh Bachchan has confirmed that Ben Kingsley plays an important part in Leena Yadav’s film Teen Patti. Along with Bachchan, the film also has  Madhavan. To quote from Bachchan’s blog …

I am told Sir David Frost that great commentator and TV personality, wishes to interview me for a program he does on India. Such an important personality, what ever would he find talking to me, I wonder. And then soon after we get into a photo shoot and reading rehearsals for the shoot, with Sir Ben Kingsley. He plays an important part in the film.

The possibility of meeting up with 2 decorated personalities and in fact working with them together, seems awe inspiring. Very soon I shall have all the gory details of the shoot and shall share them with you.
