According to Buzz18.com, Abhishek Bachchan is all set to star in a 3D film to be directed by Rohan Sippy. The duo had come together last time for Bluffmaster. The film will be going on the floors very soon.

What we know : Mani Ratnam’s Raavan is modern day adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Like Shakespeare’s Othello became Omkara, Raavan is set somewhere in the north and has a rural backdrop. Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead character ( Raavan) who kidnaps Aishwarys Rai ( Sita) and eventually Sita falls for him. Tamil star Vikram plays the role of Ram. Govinda’s role is inspired by Hanuman, Ravi Kissan plays Abhishek’s aide and Nikhil Dwivedi plays a cop.
What we just got to know : Priyamani, the national award winning actress from film Paruthiveeran plays the role of Shoorpanakha.
