Abhishek Bachchan and his sister Shweta Bachchan are on the cover of the new issue of fashion magazine L ‘Officiel. Here’s sneak peak. Daddy Amitabh Bachchan has posted the pics on his blog.
Now about the cover – its shot in london. But Abhishek and Shweta on the cover of L’Officiel ? on what basis ? Being fashion conscious or trend setter ? They are none. Well, Abhishek is atleast an actor, or trying to act. But Shweta ? All it matters is the surname. Thats it. Isnt it ? We will remain the same, inglorious bastards, cynics, skeptical about everyone’s success. Huh!
Its still not all well between Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. They just pretend, afterall they are good actors.
According to Buzz18.com, Abhishek Bachchan is all set to star in a 3D film to be directed by Rohan Sippy. The duo had come together last time for Bluffmaster. The film will be going on the floors very soon.
So, Whats new ? Well, new location, same old shit, same naachgaana and big fat cheques for Wizcraft ( the organisers) and the Bachchan family. According to gossipmongers, IIFA is a big money making racket and nothing else. It gets all kind of possible support from the host country, almost everything is sponsored, sells tickets at high prices and more money from tv rights. All on the name of promoting indian cinema. Indian cinema ? Just look at the nomination list and its easy to guess what cinema they promote.
What we know : Mani Ratnam’s Raavan is modern day adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Like Shakespeare’s Othello became Omkara, Raavan is set somewhere in the north and has a rural backdrop. Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead character ( Raavan) who kidnaps Aishwarys Rai ( Sita) and eventually Sita falls for him. Tamil star Vikram plays the role of Ram. Govinda’s role is inspired by Hanuman, Ravi Kissan plays Abhishek’s aide and Nikhil Dwivedi plays a cop.
What we just got to know : Priyamani, the national award winning actress from film Paruthiveeran plays the role of Shoorpanakha.
Forget the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Look out for the Curious Case of Big B now.
