After OUATIM, producer Ekta Kapoor, director Milan Luthria and writer Rajat Arorra have  again come together for their next film The Dirty Pciture. The film stars Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar. DoP is Bobby Singh and it has music by Vishal-Shekhar.

Looks like Vidya Balan is going full throttle with this one and without any kind of inhibitions. Plus Bappi Lahiri’s vocals and zimbly zouth kitsch all over, the trailer is exactly what one would expect from this film. It’s one film which must have been “hit” even at the idea level, all they needed was a good actress. Bring it on!

Also one good thing they have done is that they didn’t compromise on the trailer and kept Tusshar only for few seconds. Sadly we have to tolerate him in the film.

As the promotional campaign and the title of the film suggests, the official synopsis of the film says the same too. If you are still interested, here it is…

‘I hate luv storys’ is the maxim Jay lives by. But as an assistant director to Veer, the most famous romantic filmmaker of Indian Film Industry, Jay has little option but to live with larger than life, glossy, cinematic love on an everyday basis. Things only get worse when he is made to work under the new production designer on the film… Simran, with whom he shares the strangest first encounter!

Simran loves luv storys; So much so that even her life has begun to resemble one. With her ideal job and the perfect boyfriend, Raj, she lives a blissful, dreamy life; One that is rudely interrupted by Jay’s cynicism.

The turmoil’s of Jay and Simran’s life, is ironically interweaved with the Luv Story that they are working on…. But will Jay and Simran ever find their own Luv Story – go find it out in a theatre near you on 2nd July.

So, Raj & Simran have become Jai & Simran! Aur bolo! Though we still feel that “Hate” is the key word in our dictionary as far as this film is concerned, but have to admit that it got a supercool official website. Beats everything else that we have seen in recent times. Click here to check it out.

Music is by Vishal-Shekhar and Lyrics by Anvita Dutt, Kumaar & Vishal Dadlani. And here is the first song promo of the film…

WTF is this! Trust Bollywood to do it! And when its directed by Samar Khan, what else can you expect.

Its called “Make It Large – A Tribute to Michael Jackson”. If you are wondering whats the funda of “Make it Large”, then click here. If Shah Rukh Khan is here, can commerce be far behind. The video is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Idiot Box. Even in this s0-called-tribute to MJ, its Royal Stag Seagram selling thier brand philosophy! The Red Chillies homepage even has a quote from Royal Stag’s VP (Marketing) explaining their brand connect with MJ! Trust the marketing guys to sell a dead man too!

The song is written by Vishal ( Of Vishal-Shekhar duo), composed by Vishal- Shekhar and features Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, KK, Shreya Ghoshal and Prabhudeva. The video also features Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Anoushka Sharma, Shahid Kapur, and Yuvraj Singh.

We think this is the worst tribute to Michael Jackson! The lyrics redifne the word corny, music is horrendous and the voices are all over the place. No two voices in sync! We really could have done without it. Do let us know what you guys think.

A new still from Sujoy Ghosh’s film Aladin has been released. Aladin has Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh and newcomer Jacqueline Fernandes in the lead. The pic is from a dance number O Re Sawariya. Music is by Vishal-Shekhar.
