UTV Spotboy’s new film – Chillar Party

He changed the rules of the game.  Turned the small films into big.  And now UTV Spotboy’s CEO Vikas Bahl has turned director with Chillar Party. The film is already on floor from 3rd of May.

CHILLAR PARTY is the story of a bunch of kids from Chandan Nagar called Encyclopedia, Jhanghia, Akram, Secondhand, Panauti, Silencer, Aflatoon and Shaolin in whose lives enter two strangers Fatka and Bheedu. And together they alter the course of their future by never giving up on what they believe in.

The film is co-directed by Nitesh Tiwari and will have music by Amit Trivedi of Aamir and Dev D fame. We are waiting!

Breaking news – Harman Baweja is still alive! Yes. He made a disastrous debut with Love Story 2050, followed up with more disastrous film Victory and his girlfriend Priyanka Chopra also left him ( For Shahid Kapoor or some Mr Butler ?) Dude, Harman Baweja should get the Best Survivor Award. 

Now Harman’s new film Its My Life is ready for release. Its a remake of a telugu film called Bommarilu and is directed by Anees Bazmee. It has Genelia DeSouza as Harman’s love interest. Here’s the first look of the film…four stills….

For Kangna Ranaut fans, here is a good news and a bad one.

kanganaFirst the good news. Kangna is soon going to start her website. The address is http://www.realkangnaranaut.com/.

Its not functional yet but will start in june. Kangna will be blogging and interacting directly with her fans.

Now the bad news : It seems all those news about Kangna doing a nude scene in a telugu film is completely false. And she has also said that she will never do a nude scene! So all you horny guys, who were waiting desperately and googling her day and night, forget it.

Amitabh BachchanEven at 67, Amitabh Bachchan is busy as usual. Here are some new developments about his films..

1. Amitabh Bachchan has signed Vivek Sharma’s new film Buddham Sharanam Gacchami. Vivek has started his own prudction house called Film Zone. He earlier directed Bhoothnath and his next release Kal Kissne Dekha is ready for release.

2. Bachchan recently recorded a song for Ramu’s film Rann. He recorded the song with his good friend and music director Aadesh Srivastava.

3. Bachchan is not playing news editor Prannoy Roy in his new film Rann. Ramu clarified it in an interview recently. Rann is based on the way the news channels operate and manipulate news for better TRP’s. Rumours have been floating around for long time that Bachchan’s character in Rann is based on NDTV Channel head Prannoy Roy.

Insider dope – Rann’s publicists have been calling up the news channels and asking when are they going to play the Rann promo on air. They are just waiting for it to create controversy and the right buzz for the film.

Producers VS Multiplexes – Talks fail again

The Deadlock continues. Bollywood’s producers forum ( United Producers Forum)and Multiplexes Assosciation met today to find a solution on the revenue sharing issue. Multiplexes offered 50, 40, 30 percent profit share in 1st, 2nd and 3rd week of the film’s release.

Producers body insisted on 50%. Arguements. Counter arguements. No solution came out. Both the parties walked out finally.

Now, producers are planning to go ahead with their scheduled releases in single screens and the small independent multiplexes. So,  all you film buffs get ready and locate the single screen close to your home. Coming soon.

My Cousin Vinny’s plagiarism story – The real dope.

20th century Fox has sent a legal notice to B R Films ( Ravi Chopra) on plagiarism charges. For copying their film My Cousin Vinny and remaking it in hindi as Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai.

Ravi Chopra’s story – Since quite some time, Ravi Chopra has been telling everyone that they have officially bought the remake rights of the film My Cousin Vinny.

Real Dope – B R Films didnt buy the rights of My Cousin Vinny. They mailed the producers of the film stating that their film idea is similar to My Cousin Vinny. Everything else is different. Since there is no copyright on idea, 20th Century Fox asked Ravi Chopra to go ahead with his film.

20th Century Fox’s story – Now that the film is almost complete, the studio guys realised that its not only the idea but the film’s story is exactly the same as My Cousin Vinny.  Only few cosmetic changes have been made.

Where it stands – 2oth Century Fox has moved to Bombay High Court against B R Films. It has also sought Rs 7 crore as damages. Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai has Govinda, Tabu and Sushmita Sen in lead.

So, thats the real dope!
