One more directorial debut. Abhinav Kashyap, writer and brother of Anurag Kashyap is ready with his directorial debut – Dabangg. It stars Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and marks Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s debut.

We had heard lot of good things about the script and the film but when we got to know about the cast, were very skeptical about it.  And  surely we werent expecting this..it looks like Wanted Redux! Plus, Salman Khan’s firangi accent with seeti maaro dialogues and a story which is set in hinterland of North, with a filmy treatment that looks like typical South spice – complete mish-mash! But as the distributors say, hit hai sirji, hit hai! Naah, we are not the audience!

Thanx for the tip Sreeni_k.

His last film blew our mind and how! Diving Bell and The Butterfly. And what a coincidence – As Christopher Nolan’s Inception has now become the “last film to blew our mind”, Schnabel is back with a new film titled Miral. And the trailer of Miral is out. Check it out.

It stars Freida Pinto in lead role along with Willem Dafoe, Hiam Abbass and Vanessa Redgrave. Its been shot by Eric Gautier. And here is the synopsis of the film…

Based on the novel by Rula Jebreal, the movie revolves around a real-life orphanage established by a Palestinian woman (Abbass) following the 1948 creation of the Israeli state. (Pinto) was sent to the orphanage in 1978. When, later in life, she goes to teach at a refugee camp and falls for an activist, Miral is torn between resistance and education as separate paths to political change.

Starring Vinay Pathak, Mahie Gill, Sourabh Shukla and Mona Singh, its directed by Srikant Velagaleti. Shot on a budget of 4 crore….its the indie gang!

Time to leave your brains at home, again! At the rate at which Priyadarshan makes movies, we are thinking of opening a brain deposit counter. Might be a good business idea. What say ?

Anyway, the two maha-duds have come together again. And its called Khatta Meetha, directed by Priyadarshan and stars Akshay Kumar. Is it a remake again ? Don’t care much but if someone knows, do enlighten us. Here is the first teaser trailer of the film.

The first trailer of Vikramaditya Motwane’s Udaan is out. And its pitch perfect. The trailer exactly tells what the movie is all about.

And now the problem! Why is the text in the trailer straight lift from one of our favourite trailers of last year – Where The Wild Things Are! If you dont believe us, just play the video. Inside all of us is HOPE. Inside all of us is Fear. Even the way it comes on screen, is the same. After Cannes, we had to see this ? Can any soul enlighten us ? Who cut this trailer ? Someone surely is Un-certain of few things! Beware!

For our review of Udaan, poster, pics, synopsis and all the jazz from Cannes, click on this post and follow the links given in the post.

Is this a joke ? If so, a really cheap one! To sell the film and grab some eyeballs. Or are we only reading too much between the lines, ok, between the nasal twangs! If you dont believe us, just play the video and listen to the song.

The film has been long in the making and long time dabba-band too!It stars Shahid Kapoor & Kareena Kapoor and is directed by Satish Kaushik.

The film was shot when the Kapoors were together. Now that one Kapoor has moved on to Saif Ali Khan, producer Boney Kapoor must be scratching his bald head to figure out a promotional campaign for this one. And finally the culprits, lyricist “Sameer” and singer/composer “Himesh Reshammiya” must have come to his rescue. We are ROFLOL! Kuch nahi baki hai saab aur na hi koi milenge…wanna bet!

Aur bolo! Run lola, bhaag Bhola! Himesh Bhai soon aao che! And the combo cant get any more fatal! Time for some nasal congestion! Roll on! First one is the theatrical trailer of Kajraare and second one is the title song promo. Its directed by Pooja Bhatt. Aur kuch bolein ? Aap bus roll karein!
