The film’s first trailer was showcased at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. But whats the connection between Cannes and Kites ? We didnt get it. Cannes is shit concerned about Kites and we are sure that Roshans feel the same about Cannes. Then ? Well, Reliance got shitload of money and they need to do something with it. So, there they are, at the mecca of film festivals promoting kites for the indian media and whoever else is willing to listen. Anyway, check out the Kites trailer.

Its too much of philosophy for us! Can someone please dissect it for us in simple and straight words. But ya, it sounds interesting for sure! We will be looking forward to it.

First came out a really sad still from the film Love Aaj Kal. It was difficult to tell who looked more bored in the pic – Saif Ali Khan or Deepika Padukone. The link to the pic is here. But thank god for small mercies. Now there is more to discuss and dissect. Two posters of the film are out. And these are not as dull as the pic but still, well, have a look.
Our conclusion – It seems Imtiaz Ali has again boarded the train. Its again a travelogue or road movie or whatever you want to call it. Thats what it looks like from the poster. This should complete his road triology with Socha Na Tha and Jab We Met.
The first poster has some character but nothing fresh about it. Second one looks straight out of Salaam Namaste. We know, we are reading too much into the posters. But when Imtiaz is considered as one of the directors to look out for, atleast his film should not have such unispiring posters. Or is it recession at creativity shop too. And when the expectations are so high, you should not fuck around with such shoddy ones. Not even the posters. Imtiaz, can we please have something better ? We are waiting and hoping for better.

This year’s festival jury is headed by French actress Isabelle Huppert. The other members of the jury are Asia Argento (Italy), Nuri Bilge Ceylan (Turkey), Lee Chang-Dong (South Korea), James Gray (US), Hanif Kureishi (UK), Shu Qi (Taiwan) and Robin Wright Penn (US).

Pyaar Impossible is Yashraj Films Productions’ new movie starring Uday Chopra and Priyanka Chopra. Its a romantic comedy and is positioned as ” 1 beauty + 1 geek = PI ( Pyaar Impossible)”. Back to men from mars and women from venus concept! Guys, can we please have something new!
Anyway, Uday plays Abhay, a geeky guy and Priyanka plays Alisha. The film is directed by Jugal Hansraj and will have music by Salim-Suleiman. And here is the WTF info of the film – the film is written by UDAY CHOPRA! Yey, we are not joking!
