From Uttar Pradesh, he has happily moved to Gujarat. From one terror state to another. The actor, not really known for taking political stand, was criticised this time too. But he went ahead, saying he is promoting only Gujarat Tourism and not Narendra Modi. Aha!

BTW, do click here to read the Open magazine’s cover story on Amitabh Bachchan’s political affiliations and click here to read the open letter by Najid Hussain, son-in-law of late MP Ahsan Jafri who was killed in mob violence in Ahmedabad. And click on the play button to watch the Gujarat Tourism TVC…

UPDATE – The tvc is out too.

Wow..what a deadly combo! Get ready to see the plastic and the pristine. The actor and the mannequin! And that rhymes too! Aha Kate, Wah Kate!

The third one in the pic along with Kate Winslet and Aishwarya Rai is Taiwanese model Chi-ling Lin. The commercial is being shot in Rome and its for Longines Watches DolceVita collection. The buzz in the blogosphere is that its based on the film La Dolce Vita. Hum dekhenge!

Grow up guys! And if you don’t know the trick, then the best way is to watch Kate Winslet’s movies.  We just love her! Anyway, here is the tv commercial. It was shot for Newyork Lotto, way back in 2000 and stars Bipasha Basu and Vivek Oberoi. Click on the play button to know if its really a big issue. No pun intended.

We don’t think so, but we got so many requests in our mailbox, we thought its better to put the TVC here than to reply to each post. It seems a body double was also used for her. But then there are close-up shots of hers. And it all looks fake too!

So, what ? During the initial days everyone is willing to go that extra distance. Rewind back to the initial days of  most Hollywood superstars, you will be surprised and if you are not aware of it, your jaws are gonna drop and how! Don’t hurt yourself much while googling. Now, they are many paid sites which will offer exactly what you are looking for. 😉

Bit late on this one. But if you havent seen it, do check out. So, is this test drive for Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet ? Kashyap has been talking to Aamir Khan for the film and then suddenly this tvc comes on air. Or are they testing each other and their working style ? Its shot by Anurag Kashyap, has music by Amit Trivedi, lyrics by Gulzar and sung by singer Mohan. After Dil toh baccha hai ji, Gulzarsaab now puts the dil in jeb! Wah Wah!

This is the first tvc of the series. Three more 20 seconder films will be released in the coming weeks.

Ah, they have done it again! One more and its a hattrick. Last time it was the IPL Karmayudh video which was copied from the Yankees Ad. If you dont remember click here to see the original, the copied and filmmaker Prasoon Pandey’s reaction to plagiarism allegations.

And here is the new one from Indian Plagiarised League! Those who are following all the IPL buzz must have already seen the “red carpet” launch video of IPL 2010 on SetMax. If you havent, click on the play button.

And here is the original one. The Coke TV commercial for China Olympics.

In the desi one, they have just added saare jahan se accha, hindustan hamara. And believe it or not, but try this. Freeze the first video (IPL) at 01:03 and the second one (coke) at 01:37. Looks like they went out on recce looking for similar locations and shot in the same way. And how can they let go the great visual of snow-capped mountain? As Dhoni says, toh aur bolo ?

And can any enlightened soul tell us who is the culprit this time ? Is it Pandeyji again ?

When there is a new Pepsi/Coke campaign on air, you know that summer is near. Coke launched its new campaign with a new brand ambassador – Imran Khan. This is the first brand endorsement deal of Imran Khan. And he follows the footsteps of Mamujaan Aamir Khan who has been endorsing Coke since last few year.

Imran stars with Kalki Koechlin in the new Tv commercial. The new campaign “Open Happiness” has been conceptualised by the creative team of McCann Erickson that includes Prasoon Joshi, Ashish Chakravarty, Tirtha Ghosh and Nakul Sharma. And the film has been directed by Dibakar Banerjee. If you havent seen it yet, click the play button.

Here are two videos we are playing in non-stop loop these days. First is, what they say, KISS! Keep it simple, stupid. Two characters, one car and a golden oldie. Who needs fancy props or locations for good chemistry, only a song will do. Check it out, the new SBI Life Insurance commercial.

The second one is the promotional video of Raat Gayi Baat Gayi. Quite catchy tune and surely deserves more airtime. Lil late, but we are blushing all over again, watching Iravati Harshe, our crush from DD days.

No, we are not making any mistake. Its not Dulha Mil Gaya but Buddha Mil Gaya. The new dish tv commercial! Check it out.

It started with a teaser campaign. Hoardings were put up all over the city announcing the release of a new short film titled Moochwali. Picture of a young girl with moustache was enough for the curiosity quotient. The real deal is out now. Its Fevicol’s new tv commercial. And a new idea – Moochwali. Check it out.

Aamir KhanIs it intentional because it makes headlines and grabs eyeballs ? Or its all because of the concept! Since last few years Aamir Khan’s tv comercials have been discussed and dissected more for his looks than anything else. Product, brand, acting, shooting – everything takes a backseat. Here is the latest Tata Sky tvc in which Aamir plays a ventriloquist and has a puppet in his hand.

Aamir’s look and character is based on Ramadas Padhye, India’s well know ventriloquist. If you are interested to know more about the tvc, here’s a video on the making of the commercial.

And sometimes it seems like Aamir is obsessed about his looks. In a Tata Innova tv commercial, he appeared in six different looks, enacting six popular characters from his six different films. Rang De Basanti, Ghulam, Dil Chahta Hai, Rangeela, Lagaan and Sarforash. If you havent seen it yet, click the play button.
