Salman Khan’s 10 ka Dum is back! And with a bang, if the promo of first episode is any indication of things to come. Karisma and Kareena Kapoor are the guests on the first episode.

The dope is that this season of 10 ka dum will mostly focus on celeb guests. Because the last season could not sustain great TRP throughout its full run. So, no more mere mortals like you or us! Its all about celebs now, from non-filmy background also. Mallika Sherawat will be on the show soon and will share the stage with boxer Vijendra Singh.

teen patti bigAmitabh Bachchan had posted two trailers of Teen Patti on his blog. But it seems his producers were unhappy with the way the promo was put online. They felt its too early to show the promo, and it seems some other website also  put the same promo on their site without any permission. So ? The more the merrier! Whats the harm if everyone puts the promo on their site ? Any producer would like to grab more eyeballs. If not for the right buzz, what are promos meant for ? Anyway, on the producer’s request, Bachchan has removed the film trailer from his blog.

Yippeee, we saw it. And if you didnt, wait! There is no other option. And if you are too desperate like us, you can click here to read the synopsis/story of the film. To check out the first look click here and for Bachchan-Ben Kingsley pics, click here

teen patti bigThe first trailer of Amitabh Bachchan-Ben Kingsley starrer Teen Patti is out.  But it seems Amitabh Bachchan wants to have the promo exclusively on his blog. So we could not put the trailer here.

You can check the trailer here.

The film is drected by Leena Yadav (Shabd) and also R Madhavan. For the film’s story or synopsis, click here. And for Bachchan and Ben Kingsley’s pics, click here.

So is Teen Patti copy of Kevin Spacey’s 21 ?

love-aaj-kal new posterFor all you fans of Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met and Socha Na Tha, here is the first trailer of his new film Love Aaj Kal, starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. And like its first still and first poster, this one also is a damp squib! Ofcourse its not the actual promo of the film but a tie-up promo which has been shot for T20 worldcup on Star Cricket.

Making money is not a bad thing and more so during recession time. But what we dont understand is why would someone fuck around with the first trailer/promo of such a highly anticipated film. And who wrote the promo lines ?

If you missed out Deepika’s dialogue delivery, please check it out again…..You are my Love Aaj Kal. But my love for cricket, kal bhi tha aur hamesh rahega! Eeeeks! We thought that nobody can do it better than Kangana Ranaut, the way she says basterd. But looks like Deepika will soon snatch the crown from Ranaut ! And cricket never sounded so terrible! Imtiaz, are you listening ? Or are we reading (or hearing) too much in 50 seconds ?

For Love Aaj Kal’s synopsis click here and for first look n posters click here.

Salman Khan will be back as the host for the new season of Sony TV’s Dus Ka Dum. Here’s the first promo of this season.

kites11All you Hrithik Roshan fans, its finally here! The first trailer (promo) of Kites!

Produced by Rakesh Roshan and directed by Anurag Basu, Kites has Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles.

The film’s first trailer was showcased at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. But whats the connection between Cannes and Kites ? We didnt get it. Cannes is shit concerned about Kites and we are sure that Roshans feel the same about Cannes. Then ? Well, Reliance got shitload of money and they need to do something with it. So, there they are, at the mecca of film festivals promoting kites for the indian media and whoever else is willing to listen. Anyway, check out the Kites trailer.

(ps : its recorded from tv screen. so the quality is not good and difficult to say anything looking at it now)

Nothing can beat Subhash Ghai’s enthu. He is making one after another crap, living in those woods, and he still believes that whatever he has made or making, its all classic. Not now, but 20 years later. Audacity of Hope. Anyway, here comes one more to add to the Ghai crapfest, Paying Guests.

Have a look at the promo or is it theatrical trailer or whatever it is, and you can make out the call for the auditions – The morons of the world, everyone get together. Produced by Mukta Arts, Paying Guests is directed by Paritosh Painter, stars Shreyas Talpade, Vatsal Seth, Aashis Chowdhary, Javed Jaffri, Raima Sen, Celina Jaitley, Sayali Bhagat and Neha Dhupia.

ram-gopal-varmaControversy’s child Ramu doesnt want to sit silent. After Censor Board banned his jana gana rann promo of the new film Rann, Ramu has now decided to move to High Court to appeal againt the ban.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan,  Ritesh  Deshmukh, Sujeet and Paresh Rawal in the lead.

Here is Ramu’s letter about the ban and his plan to move to High Court.

The Censor Board has decided to refuse to certify ‘Jana Gana Rann’ for Public Viewing.

The Censor Board order alleges that the promo violates guidelines 2(xix) of Section 5B2 of the Cinematograph Act 1952 and also constitutes an offence under The Insult to National Honours Act, 1971.

This action of the Censor Board is arbitary and unconstitutional. Guideline 2(xix) of the Section 5B2 of the Cinematograph Act 1952 says :

“national symbols and emblems are  not shown except in accordance with the provisions of the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use), Act 1950.”

According to this interpretation by the Censor Board, no Indian Film can show the Tricolor, Rashtrapati Bhavan or the Parliament House. And, if the Censor Board did take that position, they could ask us for relevant cuts in the promo. In the whole promo of  2 mins and 10 secs there are two shots of the same for exactly 8 seconds.

The Second objection raised by the Censor Board is The Insult to National Honor Act amended in 2003. The relevant section (Section 3) states as under:

“3. Prevention of singing of Indian National Anthem, etc.

Whoever intentionally prevents the singing of the Indian National Anthem or causes disturbance to any assembly engaged in such singing shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.”

The act relates to preventing the singing of the National Anthem in public or causing disturbance to any assembly. In this case there is no such violation.

Article 19 guarantees freedom of speech and expression and freedom of trade amongst others fundamental rights. Every citizen has the right to freely express and freely carry the trade unless it is contrary to the peace and integrity of the country. By denying me the right to release this promo to the public at large, the Censor Board is violating my fundamental right.
