The first trailer/promo of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Whats Your Raashee is out. It doesn’t say much, doesnt even dare to go close to Harman Baweja. Just gives a glimpse of 12 avtaars of Priyanka Chopra. The film is produced by UTV.

Its based on Gujrati writer Madhu Rye’s novel Kimball Ravenswood. The film revolves around a young Gujarati man (Harman Baweja) who is looking for his dream girl (Priyanka Chopra), whom he must find in 10 days to save his family from an unforeseen ordeal.

So, will Harman Baweja finally get a second life with Gowariker or is Baweja already singing…hum toh doobe sanam, tujhe lekar doobenge!

Dil Bole HadippaAs a friend told us, its Kanaadda yaar, anything can happen! Its mini-punjab. They love dhol-nagada!

So here is anything….Xclusive and first on Fight Club! Yashraj Films’ Dil Bole Hadippa and UTV’s Whats Your Rashi will have their premiere at the Toronto International Film festival.

Dil Bole Hadippa is by debutant director Anurag Sinha and stars Rani Mukherjee and Shahid Kapoor. And if the promo is any indication of things to come, we wold never dare to go to any film festival with DBH. But then, it might be a ticket event, the festival needs stars, bollywood sells in kanaadda and so the dots get connected easily.

Whats Your Rasshee is by Ashutosh Gowariker and stars Piyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja. The first promo is just out. Will soon put it up as a separate post.

Both the films will be in Gala Presentation segment.

Acid Factory is produced by Sanjay Gupta, directed by Suparn Verma and stars Irfan Khan, Fardeen Khan, Manoj Bajpayee, Dia Mirza, Dino Morea, Aftab Shivdasani and Danny Denzongpa.

But what is this teaser ? Only Dhoom-dhaam-dhadaap!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

bollywoodThis post is just Cntrl C + Cntrl V. From the tweets of a rather interesting writer/director. Since we dont want to end his filmy career so soon, we are putting it all here, without giving any credit to him, which he surely deserves. Check out the definitions according to bollywood dictionary.

CEO (noun) – A man who follwed up his 2 year MBA with a 3 week course in film-making.

 – we felt 3 weeks is too long! And so, he redefined it.

CEO ( noun) – An executive who followed up his 2 year MBA with 1 week Syd Field workshop.

We added, two terms that every CEO knows by heart and blabber around always…

1. Plot Point 2. Character Graph

And here is our favourite one!

Creative Head (noun) – A girl/guy who slept with the CEO when she/he attended the 1 week Syd Field Workshop.

The one written with sharp claws –

Whiz-kid (noun) – A star son, nephew, niece, daughter who makes directorial debut at 25.

Aur yeh to bilkul sach hai…sau fisdi sach….

Screening (noun) – An event organized for the specific purpose of lying.

We added this bit…

Premiere (noun) – An event organized to find out whose lie is the bestest! And you hav to say it without laughing.

The precious one…

Bound Script (noun) – An object that everybody in the industry likes to hold and nobody likes to read.

And from big screen to small screen…

Reality Show – A graveyard where dead careers are resurrected.

Do let us know if you are aware of any other definitions from the dictionary! And thnx Mr Writer/Director…gimme more!

The theatrical trailer of Salman Khan-Ayesha Takia starrer Wanted is out. The film has been directed by Prabhu Deva and its a hindi remake of the southie hit Pokkiri. Produced by Boney Kapoor.

Lessons we learnt….some quickies….

1. Salman Khan is still trying to act.

2. Boney Kapoor is still remaking southern spices. Is Sridevi the real inspiration ?

3. Has Satish Kaushik passed the baton to Prabhu Deva ?

4. Sahara One Motion Pictures is still in business!

5. Strictly NOT WANTED!

This one looks like Salman Khan’s Ghajini!

anurag kashyapWoohoo! The poster boy of desi indie cinema is going places and how!
