This one also starts in USA, like other recents films of Karan Johar! Kareena is based in US and comes back to her hometown Delhi when her father suffers a heart attack. She meets Saif Ali Khan, a Delhi University Professor and falls for him. Phir kya…yaar, ishq, mohabbat, naach gaana and the couple gets married. They go back to USA with dreams of a new family life. But its not what it looks like.
Kareena discovers that her husband (Saif Ali Khan) is not professor but a mastermind terrorist who used her to protect his identity! Dhen Tedan!! Saif figures out that Kareena has found his true identity and puts her under house arrest.
Enters Vivek Oberoi. The high profile tv journalist who works with a big news network in USA. Kareena gets to know that Saif Ali Khan and his men are planning to hijack and bomb an airplane. The same plane which Vivek is going to board soon for some assignment. The rest of the film is about how Kareena with the help of Vivek tries to save the lives of passengers onboard.
What happens to the “blood”y love story ? Your guess is as good as mine. So, place your bets!
No pun intended. But Milenge Milenge sounds really weird after Jab We Met and jab they split! And she happily moved on to Saif Ali Khan. The first look of long in the making and long time dabba-band Milenge Milenge is finally out. The film stars Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor and is directed by Satish Kaushik.
Boney Kapoor must be scratching his head to figure out a promotional campaign for this one. And if he manages to get both the stars together for atleast one event, rest assured, his film will make headlines the next day.

Ranbir Kapoor has completed Shimit Amin’s Rocket Singh – Salesman of the year. He has moved on to Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti. And after Rajneeti, its Siddharth Anand’s new film Anjaana Anjaani with Priyanka Chopra. Also, in the pipeline is Mera Jahaan co-starring Deepika Padukone by debutant Vikram Singh.
But here is the most interesting news. According to Filmfare, Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly doing Mani Ratnam’s next film in which he plays a pakistani immigrant in America. The film is not titled yet. What we know is that he was offered a role in Raavan, but he refused.
Mani is currently busy with Raavan and will be be free by next year after the release of the film. By that time, Ranbir will also be done with both Siddharth Anand and Vikram’s films. If it works out, interesting!
One more casting news. It seems Shaadi Ali is set to return with Tevar ( Is this planned as triology..Tashan,Tevar…atleast it sounds so) and most probably Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor will team up again. Shaad is busy assissting Mani on Raavan these days.
UPDATE – According to Mumbai Mirror, the title of the film is Azaan and its a pro-muslim take. The story is about Azaan, the name of the lead character as he will be born during Azan. Click here to read the complete report.
First it was Shah Rukh Khan’s My Name is Khan , which Fox Star bagged for Rs 100 crore. Not sure about the exact details yet but the deal is confirmed. And now the exclusive dope on Aamir Khan’s next – we have got to know that Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots (Three Idiots) have been bagged by Studio 18 for Rs 85 cr! Woohoo! 3 Idiots is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi.
Except Music, Studio18 has got all the rights of 3 Idiots (Three Idiots) for Rs 85 crore. Music rights is with T-Series. So, if we add 10-15 cr more for music rights, it will be equal to 95-100 crore. Shah Rukh Khan & Aamir Khan on par! Fox Star and Sony was also interestd in it. But two factors contributed towards Studio18 bagging the rights. Aamir Khan’s personal and professional equation with Studio18.
Aamir is close to Vandana Malik, head of Studio18, whose daughter Avantika Malik is Imran Khan’s girlfriend. And professionally Aamir was happy with the box office result of Ghajini, which was distributed by Studio 18. Ghajini was sold for Rs 90 cr. And so Aamir made sure that Studio18 gets the preference for 3 Idiots.
3 Idiots will release on the last week of december as the date has proved lucky for Aamir Khan since last two years. First it was Taare Zameen Par, then Ghajini and now Aamir wants to stick to the same date. So, come what may, 3 Idiots will release on the last friday (25th december) of the year.
Yes, its confirmed. Since its inception, Fox Star Studios, a joint venture between 20th Century Fox and STAR Network, hasn’t been much active. It started business with the big one Slumdog Millionaire. But could not manage much business because the whole world had already seen the film by the time they decided to release it in the theatres in India.
Recently Fox Star Studios signed the deal with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for rights of My Name is Khan for a whopping 100 crore. The figure is not yet confirmed but thats the number doing the rounds. Earlier this year, Karan Johar tied up with UTV for his other two productions, Qurbaan ( Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi ) and Wake Up Sid ( Ranbir Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma). And now the deal with the Fox Star Studios. Seems like its the end of Yashraj films-Dharma Productions’ dostana, who earlier used to distribute all of Karan Johar’s films.
My Name is Khan stars Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol and is directed by Karan Johar. Its the story of Rizwan Khan, a man with asperger syndrome, whose son gets killed in a racial attack and he is branded as a terrorist. Rizwan then decides to meet the President to clear his stand. Eventually it turns out to be a big campaign across the country and makes him famous. Rizwan’s punchline says it all – My Name is Khan & I am not terrorist! It has superhit written all over it. Seems like a good deal for Fox Star Studios.
Rensil D’Silva ? He is ad filmmaker & screenwriter ( Rang De Basanti, Luck ) and is making his directorial debut with Saif Ali, Kareena Kapoor & Vivek Oberoi in the lead. The film is titled Kurbaan ( earlier titled Jehad) and is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Here is the dope. Rensil recently checked out Kabir Khan’s New York, the new film from Yashraj Films. And he was shocked to see that two scenes in New York are exactly the same as it is in his film Kurbaan. Now how is that possible ? He quickly called up Karan to inform him about it. Karan generally sends all his scripts to Aditya Chopra for his feedback. Well, the dots got connected soon.
Now, Rensil D’Silva doesnt know what to do. He can’t go back and re-shoot those two scenes. And if he keeps the same scenes, it will look like he copied it from New York. Which scenes ? Read on.
1) The scene where Nawajuddin is driving the car and Katrina Kaif is sitting next to him. The police guys stops the car and asks Nawajuddin to show his license. He doesn’t understand english and so reacts violently thinking that police guys are harassing him because he is a muslim.
2) The second scene is the one where John Abraham introduces Neil Nitin Mukesh to his group. He picks out the traitor in the group and tells him to run away. And then John turns to Neil and asks him to take aim at the guy.

Strangely, K Jo sold the distribution rights of his two forthcoming films Kurbaan & Wake Up Sid to UTV, instead of Yashraj films who have been distributing his films for long. And now this incident. Will K Jo trust Adi again ? The answer isn’t difficult to guess.
Strange are the ways of this world. And stranger are the ways of the Censor Board in India.
According to this DNA report, there are nine censor cuts in Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor starrer Kambakht Ishq. And one cut is because of the crotch. In one of the songs, there is a shot of a dancer who looks at his own crotch. Censor Board doesn’t like it, even though one can’t see what he sees. One has to guess it seems. Now who doesn’t know what lies beneath! But according to the Censor Board its not for public viewing and so snip! View your crotch only in private.
WTF! Jacko can grab his crotch in full public view and dance all around the world. And here in India, an extra can’t even look down. Forget about grabbing it. Govinda, Prabhu deva & Chiranjeevi could only place their hands at the right place (or was it little above ? at the waistline ? ) and move it. Nobody dared to grab it like Jacko did and made it world famous too!
Kal Kisne Dekha ? Going by the initial box office reports and reviews, it seems NOBODY. Not even the film’s director Vivek Sharma, because he had a fight with producer Vashu Bhagnani over non payment of fees. Vivek also claims that Vashu has re-edited the film and he hasn’t seen the new version
All we can say, Vashuji, with a title like that, you are surely asking for it and more. But Vashu, the dearest daddy, tried every possible trick for his son.
First the numerology. Kal Kisne Dekha is Kal KISSne Dekha and Jacky Bhagnani is JacKKy Bhagnani.
According to gossipmongers, Kareena Kapoor was paid 3 crore, yes, three fucking crore to dance with beta Jackky at few stage shows in Ahmedabad for the pre-release buzz of the film.
Vashu even paid 50 lakhs to Filmfare to showcase his son’s dancing skills at the award ceremony. Beta came and danced. But when the awards ceremoney was teleacsted, Sony smartly chopped out the performance of Jacky or Jackky from its tv telecast. Vashu had informed everyone in the world to watch out for his son’s performance at the Filmfare Awards. He waited and waited and waited. Now, if only money could drive anything, why would we need brains and dicks ?
Finally, the film releases today. And Vashu has a new plan ready. He is calling up every journalist and reviewer, and is trying to convince them to atleast say some good things about his son Jacky. He can sing, he can jump, he can dance, he can kiss, he can fight, he can ride bikes and he can see the future!! Isn’t that enough. Acting ?? Now, whats that ? We can surely see his future!!
Vashu can always put the blame of the film on the director. So, dont be surprised if some reviews actually praise Jacky Bhagnani’s multi-talented avtaar in the film. With such shitload of money, we think Vashu might be able to do more with the reviews.
