Amitabh Bachchan taking a dig at Khalid Mohamed ?
Posted: May 27, 2009 by moifightclub in bollywood, cinema, etc, gossipmongers, life, News, shit, WTFTags: Amar Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, blog, dig, Hindustan Times, Khalid Mohamed, The Asian Age
Thats what it looks like. And its a nasty one. To quote from Amitabh Bachchan’s recent post on his blog
A complete fabrication of thought word and deed. The calibre of the journal showeth. Or is this the calibre of its newly appointed ‘hack’ recently sacked (notice the rhyming ) from the entertainment editorial of a prestigious news paper. And if he is not careful of his inputs that he provides, as above, he shall be on his way for another sack !! May the Lord save this ‘begum’.
Its obvious and easy guess. Khalid Mohamed was the Entertainment Editor of Hindustan Times (HT) before he was sacked from there. Or did he quit ? According to gossipmongers, it all happened because of Amitabh Bachchan, who was tired of Khalid bajaoing him and his family members almost everyday, in HT. With the help of his bade bhaiyya Amar Singh, Big B pulled the last possible string and Khalid was sacked from Hindustan Times.
Recently Khalid moved to The Asian Age as the Entertainment Editor. The article that Bachchan is refering to in his post is a report published in the same paper. Here is the full post and the report. Whats more, Bachchan even warns him of another sack. It seems Big B surely loves to live upto his name.
But the last line is a mean one…May lord save the ‘begum’. Its not difficult to read that Bachchan is making fun of Khalid’s sexual preference and behaviour. Mr Bachchan, why stoop so low ? So much gyaan about your father’s literature and legacy and it comes down to this! You can do better. Or do you just pretend ?
Now it may sound impossible, but there was a time when Khalid and Bachchans were great chaddi-buddies. Guess what happened ? Dekhi zamane ki yaari…bicchde sabhi baari baari….

Posted: May 27, 2009 by moifightclub in bollywood, cinema, etc, News, writing, XclusiveTags: 50th Anniversary, aamir khan, Broken Horses, Ferrari Ki Sawari, Munnabhai Chale Amreeka, Pachasvi Saalgirah, Raj Kumar Hirani, Talisman, Three Idiots, Vidhu Vinod Chopra
This one is fightclub exclusive. And by exclusive, we mean it, unlike others.
This is one insane man whom we absolutely adore. Because this man loves and worships cinema. Here goes our xclusive dope….Vidhu Vinod Chopra is busy developing a new script tentatively titled Pachasvi Saalgirah (50th Anniversary). As the name suggests, its about an old couple who are soon going to celebrate their 50th marriage anniversary (isnt that rare these days). And so whats the plan ? The old man wants to spend the anniversary night in a five star hotel, his long cherished dream. Then ? Well, the script is still being developed. So all you curious folks have to wait some more. We will get you more when it happens.
Also, Munnabhai Chale Amreeka and Ferarri Ki Sawari’s story sessions are very much on. But looks like Talisman may not happen soon. The priority is Broken Horses after Three Idiots which is almost done.
Dope on Raj Kumar Hirani’s Three Idiots – Aamir Khan is NOT playing a college student in the film. No need to worry about his looks and get up any more. He plays a mysterious character who lands up in a college to spread some gud old philosophy about education system..whats right and whats not!

Yes, seems like Arjun’s Rock On act is finally doing some good for his career as this is surely going to be his career’s biggest film so far!
Arjun has been finalised to star in Karan Johar’s remake of Stepmom. So, its Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. We have always believed that Arjun is a good looking piece of wood and with co-stars like Kajol and Kareena, who are superb actors, we just cant imagine what will Arjun do in the film.
Karan Johar has bought the remake rights of the hollywod film Stepmom. The film will be directed by debutant Siddharth Malhotra and will be produced under Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions.
Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey – film synopsis
Posted: May 27, 2009 by moifightclub in bollywood, cinema, etc, News, writingTags: Amole Gupte, Gulzar, Kaminey, Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor, synopsis, Vishal Bhardwaj
Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey is ready for release. And like us, if you are dying to know what is Vishal upto this time, here is some dope. Glamsham.com has the film’s synopsis…
Guddu (Shahid Kapoor) and Charlie (Shahid Kapoor) are brothers, born and raised in Dharavi, the world’s largest slum dwelling in the heart of the megalopolis, Mumbai.
They also happen to be identical twins, in early twenties, hoping to leave the squalor behind and move into a life of prosperity and dignity. But the similarity ends here.
Guddu works as a trainee in a small NGO firm in the city. He hopes to climb up to the top of the corporate ladder. He wants to be a bona fide member of the burgeoning Indian middle class. His career has only just begun though and the road to bourgeoisie is both long and arduous. Yet Guddu is at it. He is honest, diligent and careful. Especially careful.
Charlie makes a living hedging bets at the race course. He moves around the plush hordes of the rich and famous at the races. For him this is just a way to make quick money and he dreams of becoming a legitimate bookie one day. Charlie is street smart, wily and brave. And only for himself.
The brothers don’t like each other. They believe they have nothing in common, not even their speech defect. While Guddu stammers, especially when he is nervous, Charlie has a lisp. The brothers have built their lives so that their paths don’t ever cross. They believe it’s only a question of time before they are out of each other’s sight forever.
All that is about to change. In one day. A day of reckoning. An unusual day; just right for the unusual events that unfold in its course.
Credits – Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj (Maqbool, Omkara, Makdee, The Blue Umbrella), Kaminey stars Shahid Kapur (in a double role), Priyanka Chopra as a middle-class Marathi girl and Amole Gupte (writer of Taare Zameen Par) in a negative role. The music of the film has been scored by director Vishal himself and lyrics by maestro Gulzar.
