Teen Patti – story details
Posted: May 16, 2009 by moifightclub in bollywood, cinema, first look, News, writingTags: Amitabh Bachchan, Ben Kingsley, Leena Yadav, story, Teen Patti
Indiafm.com has published the story details of Amitabh Bachchan & Ben Kingsley starrer Teen Patti. The film is directed by Leena Yadav ( Shabd). If you have missed it, here it is…the basic story of Teen Patti….
Perci Trachtenberg (Ben Kingsley), widely regarded as the world’s greatest living mathematician, meets Venkat Subramaniam (Amitabh Bachchan), a reclusive math genius from India, who has cracked a theory that could redefine the principles of probability and randomness.
Aware that he is on the precipice of an extraordinary discovery, one that could find applications across various sciences, Venkat is encouraged to test his theory in the real world. But what starts out as an experiment between a charismatic young professor and an eccentric older one soon descends into a game neither of them can control.
Convinced that Venkat’s discovery has the originality and significance to change the narrative arc of mathematics, Perci understands that Venkat’s theory, in essence, questions the idea of what is random and what is fated.
A surprising and deeply moving redemption, initiated by Perci, closes this stupendously modern film that is as much about the private equations of honour and chance, as it is about knowledge that can change the world.
Its too much of philosophy for us! Can someone please dissect it for us in simple and straight words. But ya, it sounds interesting for sure! We will be looking forward to it.

Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal – first look – poster
Posted: May 15, 2009 by moifightclub in bollywood, first look, News, pics, shitTags: Deepika Padukone, first look, Imtiaz Ali, Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, poster, Saif Ali Khan, socha na tha
First came out a really sad still from the film Love Aaj Kal. It was difficult to tell who looked more bored in the pic – Saif Ali Khan or Deepika Padukone. The link to the pic is here. But thank god for small mercies. Now there is more to discuss and dissect. Two posters of the film are out. And these are not as dull as the pic but still, well, have a look.

Our conclusion – It seems Imtiaz Ali has again boarded the train. Its again a travelogue or road movie or whatever you want to call it. Thats what it looks like from the poster. This should complete his road triology with Socha Na Tha and Jab We Met.
The first poster has some character but nothing fresh about it. Second one looks straight out of Salaam Namaste. We know, we are reading too much into the posters. But when Imtiaz is considered as one of the directors to look out for, atleast his film should not have such unispiring posters. Or is it recession at creativity shop too. And when the expectations are so high, you should not fuck around with such shoddy ones. Not even the posters. Imtiaz, can we please have something better ? We are waiting and hoping for better.
For some inspiration, do check out the posters of Dev D. Who said you need shitload of money for everything!
Amitabh Bachchan & Mithun Chakraborty – together again!
Posted: May 14, 2009 by moifightclub in bollywood, cast news, etc, gossipmongers, NewsTags: Agneepath, Amitabh Bachchan, Buddham Sharanam Gacchami, film Zone, Mithun Chakraborty, Vivek Sharma

After a gap of almost 19 years, Amitabh Bachchan and Mithun Chakraborty will work together again if everything goes all well. The film is Vivek Sharma’s Buddham Sharanam Gacchami. The duo were last seen in Agneepath.
The film will be produced by Vivek’s film production banner Film Zone. Its a well known fact in the industry that the two veteran actors are not on the best of terms. During his heydays, Bachchan smartly calculated all his moves and played dirty with many, pretending as if he knows nothing. Shatrughan Singh, Rajesh Khanna, Mithun Chakraborty, Dharmendra – they all had many bitter experiences with Big B, anyone can give shitload of dope.
Mithun, though bitter about Bachchan, doesnt speak out publicly against him. Its always “No comments” when its about Bachchan. Same with others, except Shatrughan Sinha who doesnt shy away from firing his shotgun. With Bachchan, its the standard reply to every controversial question. Conclusion is simple to draw, he is holier than thou and the world around him is bitter. Or its all just imgaination of an idle mind. Huh! But if the two veteran actors come together, it will be interesting to watch for sure!
WTF : Prof Ameesha Patel!!??
Posted: May 14, 2009 by moifightclub in bollywood, etc, gossipmongers, News, shit, WTFTags: acting, Ameesha Patel, Economics, gold medalist, Tufts University

According to Mid-day, Ameesha Patel has been offered a job as a professor at the Tufts University. And whats more, she can join anytime she wants.
For those of you who dont know, Ameesha is a gold medallist in economics from the Tufts University in Boston. Fuck, we dont believe! And if you dont believe us, just try talking to her once. You dont need proof. Was her dad or boyfreind heading the economics department ? Or Economics means economics of brain, the least one gets the gold one ?
Anyway, she has been asked to teach drama and acting. Woohoo! Can she first enroll herself for some acting classes ? we are willing to sponsor that. We sincerly feel bad for the students! Nobody deserves so much bad luck to learn acting from Ameesha Patel !

Posted: May 14, 2009 by moifightclub in bollywood, etc, first look, News, shit, WTFTags: Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, cover, L'Officiel, Shweta Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan and his sister Shweta Bachchan are on the cover of the new issue of fashion magazine L ‘Officiel. Here’s sneak peak. Daddy Amitabh Bachchan has posted the pics on his blog.
Now about the cover – its shot in london. But Abhishek and Shweta on the cover of L’Officiel ? on what basis ? Being fashion conscious or trend setter ? They are none. Well, Abhishek is atleast an actor, or trying to act. But Shweta ? All it matters is the surname. Thats it. Isnt it ? We will remain the same, inglorious bastards, cynics, skeptical about everyone’s success. Huh!
