Bhandarkarism is back! The theatrical trailer of Madhu Bhandarkar’s new film Jail is out. The film stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse.  Manoj Bajpai is the surprise element in the promo and we are happy to see him.

Kal Kisne Dekha ? And Vashu Bhagnani’s latest plan to save his son’s career!

kalkissnedekha-Kal Kisne Dekha ? Going by the initial box office reports and reviews, it seems NOBODY. Not even the film’s director Vivek Sharma, because he had a fight with  producer Vashu Bhagnani over non payment of fees. Vivek also claims that Vashu has re-edited the film and he hasn’t seen the new version

All we can say, Vashuji, with a title like that, you are surely asking for it and more. But Vashu, the dearest daddy, tried every possible trick for his son.

First the numerology. Kal Kisne Dekha is Kal KISSne Dekha and Jacky Bhagnani is JacKKy Bhagnani.

According to gossipmongers, Kareena Kapoor was paid 3 crore, yes, three fucking crore to dance with beta Jackky at few stage shows in Ahmedabad for the pre-release buzz of the film.

Vashu even paid 50 lakhs to Filmfare to showcase his son’s dancing skills at the award ceremony. Beta came and danced. But when the awards ceremoney was teleacsted, Sony smartly chopped out the performance of Jacky or Jackky from its tv telecast. Vashu had informed everyone in the world to watch out for his son’s performance at the Filmfare Awards. He waited and waited and waited. Now, if only money could drive anything, why would we need brains and dicks ?

Finally, the film releases today. And Vashu has a new plan ready. He is calling up every journalist and reviewer, and is trying to convince them to atleast say some good things about his son Jacky. He can sing, he can jump, he can dance, he can kiss, he can fight, he can ride bikes and he can see the future!! Isn’t that enough. Acting ?? Now, whats that ? We can surely see his future!! 

Vashu can always put the blame of the film on the director. So, dont be surprised if some reviews actually praise Jacky Bhagnani’s multi-talented avtaar in the film. With such shitload of money, we think Vashu might be able to do more with the reviews.

As for the review of the film on our blog, you must be kidding! BTW, here is Raja Sen’s review on Rediff, we could not agree more.

prabhu devaAccording to our sources, he is not hiding at all. Because Prabhu Deva is in Mumbai for the publicity and promotion of his film new Wanted : Dead or Alive. Its directed by Prabhu Deva. He even did few interviews for the film which stars Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia in the lead. Wanted is a remake of Telugu film Pokkiri. Its produced by Boney Kapoor.

The rumour doing the round is that Prabhu Deva has secretly married actress Nayantara. Though actress Nayantara has denied the rumours about the marriage but there has been no comment from Prabhu Deva. It all started with Nayantara getting Prabhudeva’s name tattoed on her body.

New York’s promotional video – Hai Junoon

We could not connect the two. The film New York and its peppy promotional video Hai Junoon. The film is set in New York post 9/11 and the video makes it look like rom-com-buddy-film kind. The film is directed by Kabir Khan, produced by Yashraj Films and stars John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Katrina Kaif.

Here is the video of the song  Hai Junoon. Though we havent heard the original one, this one is remix version. Music is by Pritam, lyrics by Sandeep Shrivastava and the singer is KK. The music is out in the market now. Enjoy!

7 days in Paris – we read the story, why Imran Khan should be worried & Katrina Kaif is out of it

imran khanOur header has become too long. Because we could not prioritise which one is more important. We read the story of Sanjay Doom Gadhvi’s film 7 Days In Paris. We think Imran Khan should be worried about the choices he is making. And Katrina Kaif is out of the film. Since all three news bits are related, we have randomly put down our seven, ok, eight pointers. Join the dots and see if it makes sense.

1. Every director in bollywood wants to set a love story in Paris, every one wants to make their version of Before Sunrise & Before Sunset.  And Sanjay Gadhvi is NO Richard Linklater.

2. 7 Days in Paris ( Spoiler Alert) – its a love story set in Paris. Two strangers. Case of mistaken identity. They fall in love. First half is all walk the talk and talk while walking. 2nd half – mistaken identities revealed. Lovers tiff and finally a happy ending. And yeh, there is an important bad pasta scene in the film! In short, nothing new in the film and we surely aren’t looking forward to it!

3. Gadhvi has changed the script following Imran Khan’s suggestions. We have read the old version, not sure if it has been changed for good or bad. Imran Khan need not pretend smart. He needs to act smart. Check.

4. After the debacle of Kidnap, Imran Khan thinks love stories are the way to success. And he wants to do only love stories now! Dude, it cant be Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na every time. A bad film is a bad film, thriller or love story!Check again.

sanjay gadhvi5. Gadhvi is close to Vandana Malik, head of Studio18. Her daughter Avantika Malik is dating Imran. And Studio18 is producing the film. We doubt our mother-in-laws. We doubt those mom-in-laws more who can sign fat cheques. And a desperate mom-in-law who wants her daughter to get married to Imran Khan, is dangerous! Check check!

6. Those who have seen Imran Khan’s Luck, they think Luck makes Kidnap look like masterpiece. No comment. Check check!

7. And those who have read the full script of 7 Days In Paris, they are willing to bet that Gadhvi will make even Paris look boring! And are ROFL reading the pasta scene again and again.

Katrina-Kaif8. According to Mumbai Mirror, in the new script, Katrina Kaif’s role has been cut drastically. And so, she is not interested in doing the film anymore. You can read the full story here. For us, IIFA is IIFA3 – India International Film Awards of Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan. Looks like other stars also feel the same. And so, many of them are happily giving it a miss. Count the names – No Khans ( Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan or Salman Khan), Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan,  Kareena Kapoor or Ranbir Kapoor….the biggies of bollywood and their excuses are all silly.

We wonder who are attending it then ? People who belong to either of the three categories…

1. Those who are close to Bachchan Family.

2. Those who are jobless, have no films at hand.

3. Freeloaders, who will happily go to hell also if they get a free ticket and a place to stay.

Love Aaj – London, San Francisco, Delhi – 2009.

Jai and Meera is a modern-day couple in London. They are very happy together but do not believe in tying each other down. So when life pulls them in different directions, they decide to go with the flow. “These Heer-Ranjha, Romeo-Juliet type janam janam ka saath type couples exist only in story books,” Jai says. In the real life, we have to be practical.

Love Kal – Delhi, Calcutta – 1965.

Veer Singh is struck by a thunderbolt when he sees Harleen for the first time. Soon after, he stands under a tree and swears that “is janam mein aur har janam mein… yehi meri votti banegi – Harleen Kaur.” He travels a thousand kilometers by train to stand under her balcony only to have a glimpse of her face. And yet not speak a word with her.

Love Aaj Kal

Veer does not understand how Jai can treat matters of the heart without passion, like a financial transaction. Jai does not understand how Veer Singh could have been so naïve and silly about Harleen in the days of his youth. But as both stories unfold, we realize that the process of relationship might be different in different eras, but the experience of being in love remains the same. So there is the frolic and despair of modern living, the liberation and confusion. And there is the past – the times of innocence and compulsion. And there is distance, and the fondness that increases with distance. Gaps widen between two people, but bridges keep growing too.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, it stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Pudukone and Rishi Kapoor.
